Downtown Auburn is the home of many street festivals on during the year. Downtown is a quaint area with brick buildings from a bygone era with a charming 1900s style architecture. The main events during the year are the nationally famous Veterans’ Day and the Good Ol Days festival. After the festivals finish, there are galleries, public art exhibits, museums, and theaters that may be enjoyed that present a large variety of opportunities to learn more regarding the neighborhood culture and art scene and immerse you in Auburn life.

White River Valley Museum is a fascinating place to soak in the town’s history and to bring the family. The museum has started nine new interactive exhibits which allow your kids to smell, climb and explore a path through the exhibition. An example of some of the pieces there is a kid-friendly pint-sized cook tent where you can pretend to cook, Muckleshoot longhouse replica that you can smell and determine scents, mystery boxes, and the trainman’s repair tent. There are a nostalgic horse ride and caboose that the kids are guaranteed to love. Remember to bring coins for the mechanical horse ride. The museum is nearby Mary Olsen Farm, so you can meet the cutest farm animals as well afterward.

Auburn’s Emerald Downs is a racetrack and casino combined and has won a coveted certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor. The racetrack and casino make a fun night out and the location and banquet are truly awesome. The 5th floor features a classy dining and cocktail lounge with the new 2017 renovation.
